Methods for Assessing and Teaching Preschool Children (3-5) with Disabilities

This course provides foundation content for educators to better understand the field of Early Childhood Special Education (3-five). Developmentally appropriate assessments and instructional strategies (informed by DEC best practice guidelines and NJ content standards) aligned with culturally sensitive, tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) will be presented in a strength-based, family-centered context. Students will have multiple opportunities to reflect on and present new learning.
