The 3-credit course entitled 'Internship in School Psychology' is a 300-hour experience completed on a half-time school week basis over four consecutive semesters in a school setting. Students are placed in approved sites for their internship experience where they are supervised by an appropriately credentialed school psychologist. Interns receive at least one hour of field-based supervision per week from a practicing school psychologist, who is responsible for no more than two interns at any given time. Interns are expected to attend scheduled Internship classes on the Rowan University campus. To complete the Ed.S. in School Psychology and to be eligible for NJ Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist, students must complete 12 credits of Internship in School Psychology totaling 1200 hours of field experience.
