Applied Statistical Analysis in Athletic Training

This graduate course examines statistical design and methods necessary to develop proper experiments and analyze data related to athletic training, as well as recognizing the strengths and limitations of studies in the literature. Students will learn how to design an experiment, how to assess the validity of the underlying assumptions of statistical methods in order to determine which statistical method should be used to analyze data, use statistical software to analyze data, and perform assessments of existing studies. General scenarios to be examined will include two independent samples, three or more independent samples, and dependent samples. Linear, multiple, and logistic regression models will also be covered.
