The Rowan University Online Master of Science in Finance is a rigorous program that combines quantitative techniques with practical experience. This program is designed to prepare students for financial analyst and financial planner positions in corporations and financial institutions. Rowan’s M.S. in Finance program will help prepare students for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exams, the premier certifications in the finance field.
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Finance Online program at Rowan University requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours (s.h.) made up of 10 courses. Students must complete the Foundation Courses listed under Admissions Requirements prior to matriculating into the MS in Finance degree program.

The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional action or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or indicating any missing items.
Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
Two letters of recommendation
Letters of recommendation should be from professional administrators and include information, which attests to applicant's ability to pursue a graduate degree
Typewritten statement of professional objectives
Provide reasons for pursuing the program. Describe how you might use this program to advance your career (educational goals beyond the master's level, if applicable, are also relevant).
Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Submission of official GRE or GMAT test results (minimum score of 450). Learn more about the GRE/GMAT waiver criteria.
Foundation Courses (Eligible applicants must have successfully completed the following undergraduate foundation courses at an accredited institution with a minimum grade of “C"):
FC-1. Principles of Economics: A Survey (ECON 04303) OR BOTH Macroeconomics (ECON04101) & Microeconomics (ECON 04102)
FC-2. Foundations of Accounting (ACC 03405) OR BOTH Principles of Accounting (ACC 03210) I & Principles of Accounting II (ACC 03211)
FC-3. Calculus: Techniques and Applications (MATH 03125) OR Calculus I (MATH 01130)
FC-4. Statistics I (STAT 02260)
FC-5. Principles of Finance (FIN 04300)(Must be completed at a 4-year institution to fulfill foundation course requirements.)
