The Bachelor of Arts in Law & Justice degree offers students solid academic preparation in criminal law and the criminal justice system with an interdisciplinary approach to coursework that enhances critical thinking, reasoning, writing, and logic skills. It prepares students for professional careers in four major areas: law enforcement and security services, court services, corrections, and human services. Since many of the students who enter the program express an interest in preparation for graduate study and professional schools, the program also offers majors the rigorous preparation necessary to achieve such goals. Rowan University requires the completion of 120 semester hours (30 s.h. must be at Rowan University) of approved general education and major coursework in order to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. The B.A. in Law & Justice degree completion program is a full-time program that provides students with 60 of the required semester hours. It is possible to complete the program in approximately 4 to 5 consecutive semesters.
Each course is scheduled in 8 week modules with each week of work starting every Tuesday at 8:00a.m. and ending every Monday at 11:59p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional action or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or indicating any missing items.
Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
Associate’s Degree or 24 semester hours of transferable college credits
Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

The chart below details available entry terms for the B.A. in Law and Justice Online program as well as corresponding application deadlines. Submitting the Application Form is only the first step to beginning the admission process. All of the required materials listed above must be received on or before the application completion deadline for your desired entry term to be considered for admission to that term. We encourage you to complete the application form and begin submitting your materials at least one month before the deadline indicated.
Tuition & Costs
Per Semester Hour
Students enrolled in 13 or more semester hours will pay a flat rate of $5,749. Students enrolled in 18 or more semester hours will pay $362 per semester hour in addition to the flat rate.
